Fresh Ink Staff
Louise Hamill (Artistic Director and Co-Founder, she/her) is a creative with a passion for developing, watching, and supporting new work. She studied theatre at Connecticut College, where she fell in love with acting and fashion history, and at the British American Drama Academy in London, where she fell in love with... well, everything. She has since worked with many companies both on and off stage in Boston and is a judge for METG’s High School Drama Festival. She is constantly looking for ways to expand her horizons and jewelry collection, watches as many Red Sox and Premier League games as she can, and is known to be mildly obsessed with giraffes and her cat.
Emily Larson (Managing Director, she/her) landed in Boston by way of Ohio, Iowa, and Moscow. She holds degrees in Theatre Arts and English from the University of Iowa and studied devised theatre-making at MXAT and GITIS. She is dedicated to new and emerging work out of a conviction that a vibrant fringe scene is the lifeblood of any theatre ecosystem. Emily is concerned with issues of sustainability in the arts and drawn to the practice of ‘eco-theater,’ sight-specific outdoor work, and the intersection of theatre and political action. Emily has worked as a director, literary manager, and stage manager in the Boston area. Outside of her work in the theatre, she enjoys solo hiking and camping in remote locations, seasonal cooking projects, pickling, reading playscripts, and watching hundreds of movies each year. She also manages a farmer’s market in the Berkshires.
Katy Poludniak (Development Manager, Individual Giving, she/her) is a Boston-based arts administrator and educator. Originally from Texas, she moved to Boston to pursue a degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College. Since graduating, she has worked in a variety of positions at the Magik Theatre, the American Repertory Theater, and The Huntington. She is currently the Executive Management Coordinator at The Huntington, working closely with Executive Director Chris Mannelli on a variety of special projects. When not involved in theatre, Katy enjoys reading (at least 75 books a year!), attending concerts, and traveling back to Texas to see her family (and her dogs).
Tatiana Isabel Gil (Co-Literary Director of Submissions and Operations, she/her) is a queer Latine writer, dramaturg, and actor with a passion for new work development, art that moves people to take action, and decolonization as a form of healing and empowerment. Her work centers around the Latine LGBTQ+ experience within the Latine community in the United States. Recently, her play, Lithosphere Heart was a semi-finalist at Playwrights Realm. She is currently at the University of New Mexico working on her MFA in Dramatic writing and is a city of Albuquerque resident artist creating a community centered project and play about Latine people's relationship to their indigenous ancestors/identities.
Hannah Levinson (Co-Literary Director of Dramaturgy and Play Development, she/her) is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist, with a background in directing, playwriting, dramaturgy, and arts admin. She received her BA from Northeastern University in English, Theatre, and Writing. She’s previously held arts administration and creative roles with Actors’ Shakespeare Project, the National Women’s Theatre Festival, and Boston-based creative writing nonprofit GrubStreet. She works at Boston’s oldest LGBTQ+ theater, The Theater Offensive, and was a recent member of Company One Theatre's Volt Lab. Hannah strives to bring an ethic of consent, care, and justice into whatever project she’s working on. When she’s not at the theatre, you can find her foraging, hand-building ceramics, watching drag, snuggling her cat Hazelnut Babka, or cooking up something tasty for her friends and chosen family at her cozy home in Jamaica Plain.
Bella Pisani (Operations Manager, they/them) grew up in Connecticut and the rehearsal halls/stages of various community theaters. After getting a taste of stage managing in college, they turned to the dark side (read: anything production/tech) and haven't looked back since. Since first moving to Boston, they have been fortunate to work in various capacities for Chamber Theatre, Blue Spruce Theatre, Underlings Theatre Co., The Huntington, Emerson, and of course, Fresh Ink. Bella is motivated by collaborative art made by community, especially that which allows artists to grow in their craft and challenges audiences to participate and learn. When not theatre-ing, they can be found swing dancing, folk dancing (with swords!), or interpretive dancing around their apartment (much to the confusion of their black cat familiar, BeBe Neupurrth).
Andrea Sala (Production Manager, she/her) has had the privilege to work as a lighting designer, production manager and more with incredible companies and institutions, including Dance Theater of Harlem, Urban Bush Women, Jacob’s Pillow, The Yard, Central Square Theater, Fresh Ink Theater Company, Free Soil Arts Collective, and local dance artists at the Boston Center for the Arts and New York City Arts. Her current full-time job is being the Lighting Supervisor for Dance Theatre of Harlem. She is also involved as a performer/dancer within the Boston community. When not being involved in the arts community, Andrea loves watching movies with her partner (or alone) and bullet journaling in her sun porch.
Mare Silva (Co-Marketing Coordinator, they/them) originates from San Antonio, TX but had a dream to experience real snow. They made that dream a reality in 2010 when they set foot into Boston to attend Suffolk University. After graduating in 2014 with a BA in Theatre Arts, they have spent the following years stage acting, voice acting, creating art, singing in a chorus, building community in queer spaces and working in marketing with a focus on accessibility. When not doing the above, they can be found playing a game of pinball, picking up a new craft, or cat-sitting for friends' cats until they are able to adopt one of their own.
Erin Fitzpatrick (Co-Marketing Coordinator, she/her) is sort of from Pennsylvania but also spent ten years living in Germany and now resides in Boston. She recently graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Theatre and Communications. While at Northeastern, she served as the President of Silver Masque Theatre Company, a student organization dedicated to producing original student work. When she's not making theatre or navigating corporate America you can find her reading, baking, going on walks, watching reality TV, or attempting the wordle.
Stephanie Hettrick (Production Advisor, she/her) has been a member of the technical theatre scene in Boston since moving to the area from Georgia in 2014. Stephanie has worked as a freelance stage manager, carpenter, electrician, props designer, production manager, and robot wrangler at various companies across the Boston area. Previously, her full time gig was working with the amazing students at Northeastern University as the Production Coordinator for the Department of Theatre. She now works as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service. When not solving problems or answering questions about how the mail system works, Stephanie loves to play video games with her partner and watching random anime and other old tv shows from her youth.
